260 Dishub Personnel Stationed in 34 Checkpoints to Restrict Mobility

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) deployed 260 personnel to guard 34 checkpoints for restriction and control on people's mobility during Emergency PPKM period.

This policy aims to reduce COVID-19 cases and prevent the transmission

Jakarta Dishub Deputy Head, Chaidir explained, 60 personnel were stationed at 4 checkpoints to restrict people's mobility within the city, 96 personnel at 8 checkpoints to restrict mobility in border areas, 70 personnel at 10 checkpoints to restrict mobility in crowd-prone areas, 34 personnel at 12 checkpoints to restrict people's mobility.

"They are divided into three shifts a day in checkpoints within city and border areas. While for restriction and mobility control in crowd-prone areas, there is only one shift from 20:00 to 04:00," he informed, Tuesday (7/6).

9,605 Vehicles in East Jakarta Border Area Told to Turn Back

According to him, Dishub personnel were deployed together with Satpol PP and TNI/Police to block vehicles going in and going out of Jakarta. Residents, especially workers in non-essential and non-critical sectors and not in urgent need will be asked to turn back.

"This policy aims to reduce COVID-19 cases and prevent the transmission by limiting mobility or staying at home," he mentioned.
